Pain Relief and Relaxation
I love meeting people where they are and having them improved and in a better space after our sessions. Whether it’s pain from an injury, tension from working at a desk for too many hours, stress from a significant life event, or anything in between – I am here to help.
You live a busy life with many responsibilities. Taking time to yourself is necessary for your wellbeing. Having regular massages are an investment in yourself; an intent to reset, recharge and give you the space to heal and rejuvenate.
Prenatal Massage
Pregnancy presents many changes in body, mind and lifestyle. It is my great pleasure to offer support and relief of the discomforts involved, as well as information about changes and self-care that can be helpful every day of your pregnancy and beyond.
Having regular prenatal massages is very beneficial to your baby as well as yourself. Massage has shown to have significant positive effects on the nervous system and increases the hormones involved with feeling relaxed and happy. These hormones circulate not only to you but also to the baby.
Massage therapy can alleviate the discomforts experienced during pregnancy, including:
- Muscle tension
- Lower and upper back pain
- Shortness of breath
- Sciatic pain
- Leg cramps and swelling
- Decreased circulation
- Breast tenderness
- Poor sleep, mental and physical fatigue
- Anxiety and depression (hormone related)
Trauma and Stress Relief
Massage therapy is a therapeutic approach to helping your body heal from trauma. Massage is also one of the most complimentary investments in yourself – lowering your stress levels, improving your sleep and better focusing on your relaxation and healing.
I believe in a holistic approach, and carry that into my practice during every treatment. The connection between the mind and body is profound, and often I find my clients can access and release the emotions they have stored in their bodies through massage therapy.
